David Elf is a Hull-based singer-songwriter with a fondness for big ideas, sharp turns of phrase and choruses that know where they’re going. Armed with an acoustic guitar, a warm voice and several decades of hard-earned stagecraft, he writes about love, politics, media, money and the strange business of being human, usually with wit, compassion and just enough irritation to keep things moving.
His live shows are thoughtful, funny and disarmingly direct: intelligent acoustic pop-rock for people who enjoy a melody, a lyric, and occasionally having their worldview gently prodded.
